The short version

The text you type into a counter never leaves your device. Counting happens in JavaScript on your own browser and is never transmitted, stored or logged by us.

Information we collect

We do not require an account and we do not ask for personal information to use any counter. The only data we receive is the standard technical information your browser sends when it loads a page.

• Approximate location derived from IP address, at country or city level
• Device and browser type, operating system and screen size
• Referring page, pages viewed and time spent on the site
• Aggregated events such as which counter page was opened or whether a copy button was used

Information we do not collect

• The content of any text you paste into a counter
• Account credentials, because there are no accounts
• Payment details, because nothing on the site is sold
• Precise geolocation or contacts

Cookies and analytics

We use privacy focused, aggregated analytics to understand which pages are useful. Analytics cookies may be set by our analytics provider to distinguish returning visitors.

You can block cookies in your browser settings. The counters themselves will keep working without them.
